Day 57
Misty day, but no probs as Wayne spends the whole day cutting insulation boards to fit in between the rafters inside. No noise; just one small van; easy!
It is good to able to walk on the screed flooring now. Still hard to imagine what the spaces will be like as rooms vs building sites! Particularly the lobby....if only I was around when God was handing out spatial awareness!
We do however have lengthy discussions with Big Ian re the knocking through. He wants to do it next week...tricky! However Ian C is here having a chat and is happy to house sit on demolition day! Scaffolding def coming down this week...excited!
Talk of doors being put in, plastering ....
J and S pop in on the way from Gatwick to Brum, with lots of talk of lovely holiday - pics of resort which looks v nice and warm and sunny!
Apologies now for the dullness of today's photos....he has been busy and its all neat and tidy...but doesn't have the impact that we have had on other days!
Off to C'Wood (cultural centre of South Bucks) this evening to a jazz concert held in aid of Prostate Cancer. We are going to see Janet Seidel http://www.janetseidel.com/ who is house sitting in the village for 6 months whilst she tours Europe.
She was lovely, worth seeing again; first half, worthy but random!
