Foggy at 7.30am, but that does not stop our intrepid builders - looking forward to seeing the roof go up this week.
Deliveries come and go - insulation for the roof, velux windows...
More deliberations on the nature of the flooring. Decided to run with ceramics without the fancy interlining builder suggested - we can see no need - that floor, once dry, will never move! Phew - that saved £800!
Kevin and Wayne work away all day measuring, sawing, nailing - the stuff roofers do. One bonus - they seem to have their own hot drinks! Its getting v windy, but I guess they are used to that!
The end result isn't too spectacular, but I guess it has to be done slowly to get it right! Nice tidy job, and lots of cut up bits of wood in the main area. I'm looking forward to seeing how it joins on to the house - 2D plans are all very well, but 3D much better!
I cant get my head around the lighting (probably the last major thing to consider), so went onto familiar territory - IKEA! Need to get sorted all the storage in the lobby....easy! Expedit will do the job as ever!
